Inland CommunicationsOak Brook, Ill. – Inland National Development Company, LLC (“INDC”) is pleased to announce that Howard Brown Health, Chicago’s premier lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (“LGBTQ”) healthcare organization, selected INDC to develop their newest healthcare center in Chicago’s Northalsted neighborhood (formerly known as Boystown).
“The selection of Inland is the culmination of a three-year site selection process,” said Daniel Nack, principal of VCRE. Howard Brown Health was represented by VCRE, who managed a competitive RFP process for this project.
Howard Brown Health plans to build a five-story, 71,000-square-foot healthcare center located at 3501 North Halsted. The medical facility will offer a full range of services, including medical and dental clinics, pharmacy, behavioral health, administrative offices and ground floor retail. Nearly 30 parking and bicycle spaces are also included in the plans.
“INDC competed in a comprehensive RFP process, managed by VCRE, and we are thrilled to announce that INDC was selected to bring our vision for Northalsted’s LGBTQ community to life,” said president and CEO of Howard Brown Health, David Ernesto Munar. “We are confident that INDC’s diverse commercial real estate knowledge, national development expertise, 50-plus year proven track record and local Chicago roots will complement Howard Brown’s mission and we look forward to this being the first of many projects to come with INDC.”
Howard Brown Health was founded in 1974 and is now one of the nation’s largest LGBTQ nonprofit healthcare organizations. Howard Brown Health serves more than 35,000 adults and youth annually and currently has 11 clinics across Chicago’s neighborhoods.
“We are honored to have been chosen by Howard Brown Health to develop one of the nation’s largest LGBTQ healthcare centers,” said Anthony Casaccio, president and CEO of Inland National Development Corporation. “We look forward to working with Howard Brown Health on the Northalsted project to deliver their mission to eliminate the disparities in healthcare experienced by the LGBTQ community through research, education and the provision of services that promote health and wellness.”
